Juvenilia Group

What does Juvenilia mean?
Juvenilia is a term applied to literary, musical, or artistic works produced by an author during his or her youth. Jane Austen’s earlier literary works are often referred to as Juvenilia.

What is JASNA-NY Juvenilia?
JASNA-NY Juvenilia is comprised of Jane Austen Society of North America, New York Metropolitan Region (JASNA-NY) members who are 45 years of age and under. Because JASNA NY is a large and active membership, the Juvenilia group provides an extra way for young, often newer, members to get to know JASNA and the NY region. Aside from participating in JASNA NY events, Juvenilia members hold their own social activities roughly four times per year including picnics and movie nights.

Is Juvenilia right for me?
Any JASNA member under 45 living in the New York tri-state area who has a passion for Jane Austen, her novels, or the era in which she lived is invited to join.
