On May 18, JASNA-NY held its Sixth Annual Janie Awards competition in the Discussion Group led by Meg Levin. For newcomers, this is our version of the Oscars. Twelve members of the evening’s “Academy” filled out ballots and took part in the Zoom discussion to defend their choices prior to the official vote. This year, the focus was on characters: good, bad, and in-between.
